Why Oval?
The oval brilliant cut has the same 58 facets as a round brilliant, but its elongated shape spreads the stone's surface area across a larger footprint. A 1.5ct oval will appear visually larger than a 1.5ct round. The elongation also makes the finger appear longer and more slender.
