Si Dian Jin (四点金) is the traditional set of four bridal jewellery pieces made in 916 yellow gold, presented during the Guo Da Li betrothal ceremony. Si Dian Zuan (四点钻) is the modern evolution — the same four pieces, the same ceremony, but made with diamonds instead of plain gold. The cultural meaning and the occasion remain identical. The difference is that diamond jewellery is designed to be worn long after the wedding day, making it a more versatile investment than traditional gold pieces that many brides wear only once.

They do not have to be identical, but they should relate. At Diamond Ateliers we design all four pieces as a cohesive set — unified by metal choice, stone cut, and design language — so they look intentional whether worn together or separately. If you already own a piece you want to incorporate, such as a family heirloom or an existing ring, we design the remaining pieces to complement it rather than replace it.

We recommend beginning at least three months before your Guo Da Li ceremony, and ideally four to six months before your wedding date. The design and approval process takes two to three weeks, and production takes four to six weeks from sign-off. Starting early also gives you time for design revisions without pressure. Every centre stone comes with a GIA or IGI grading certificate regardless of which tier you choose.
